Engage@Turing Doctoral Showcase - Health, Care & Life Sciences
The Engage@Turing initiative was set up following the cancellation of the 2020/21 Enrichment Scheme, to provide enrichment offer holders with the opportunity to access training and form connections with the Turing research network remotely. In order to help build connections with our community, the Engage@Turing students are organising a showcase on Friday 19 February with 2 sessions running in parallel at the following time: 10:30-11:30, 11:30-12:30, 13:30-14:30

Session 2a - 11:30 - 12:30 Health, Care & Life Sciences (theme)

Each student slot will last 10 min and will run in the following order (student name and research title):

Heather Jackson - Exploring paediatric infectious diseases through integration of host ‘omic profiles
Hannah Nicholls - Machine Learning Prioritization of Blood Pressure Genes Post-GWAS
Katharina Zuhlsdorff - Identifying neural markers of psychiatric disorders using small- and large-scale data
Becki Green - Molecular underpinnings of early changes relevant to dementia
James Wilsenach - Local Non-parametric Methods for Neurobiological Data

Please note you are not required to attend the entire hour, and you can drop in for specific Q&As.
