Engage@Turing Doctoral Showcase - Theoritical ML
The Engage@Turing initiative was set up following the cancellation of the 2020/21 Enrichment Scheme, to provide enrichment offer holders with the opportunity to access training and form connections with the Turing research network remotely. In order to help build connections with our community, the Engage@Turing students are organising a showcase on Friday 19 February with 2 sessions running in parallel at the following time: 10:30-11:30, 11:30-12:30, 13:30-14:30

Session 1b - 10:30 - 11:30 Theoretical ML (theme)

Each student slot will last 10 min and will run in the following order (student name and research title):

Joshua Tan - Cohomology and learning
Ondrej Bohdal - Efficient Meta-Learning
Adam Conghaile - Does topology hold the key to more expressive query languages?
Joshua Nevin - Physical model-enhanced Gaussian processes for optical networks

Please note you are not required to attend the entire hour, and you can drop in for specific Q&As.
